Health forum set for Feb. 18 at Louisiana College
In celebration of National Heart Month, Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital Cardiovascular Services and Louisiana College present an educational forum, Age Fast, Age Slow: its up to you! at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, February 18, at Guinn Auditorium, on the Louisiana College campus in Pineville. the guest speaker is Kenneth H. Cooper, MD, MPH, founder and chairman of Cooper Aerobics Center.
Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper is known as the father of aerobics and is recognized as the leader of the international physical fitness movement.
Dr. Cooper will be the guest speaker at this public educational presentation and will discuss the concepts of his book, Start Strong, finish Strong: Prescriptions for a Lifetime of great Health. this book introduces the ultimate health program and speaks to those who want to live longer, healthier lives now and as we age. by making small but significant changes to your lifestyle that will revolutionize your life you can achieve a healthy heart, strong bones, and a quick mind.
In addition to Dr. Coopers presentation, there will be other educational and informative presentations and materials available to the public on a variety of cardiac services.
