Alzheimer’s and exercise: Dr. W. Alvin McElveen of Bradenton Neurology will present The Benefits of Exercise in Alzheimer’s Disease on Feb. 17 from 1-2 p.m, at Summerfield Assisted Living Residence, 3409 26th St. W., Bradenton. Zumba Gold exercise: a free demonstration class in Zumba Gold, a low-impact, rhythmic exercise program that burns calories but does not require dance experience and can be modified for any fitness level (including the use of chairs), will be at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 20 at the Palmetto Art Center, 907 Fifth St. W., Palmetto. Nutrition, exercise and Alzheimer’s: The Bradenton Research Center is offering a free community lunch and presentation on the benefits of nutrition and exercise for Alzheimer’s disease 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at Bishop Planetarium, 201 10th St. W., Bradenton. RSVP: 708-0005.

H2U program: these events are offered by H2U, an adult health and wellness organization sponsored by Blake Medical Center.
